Freeview App vs Freeview Play: What's the Difference?

There are two related but distinct Freeview products. Freeview Play is built into most modern Smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic, Hisense sold since 2018) and integrates catch-up content from all UK broadcasters into your TV's native programme guide. The Freeview app is a separate mobile and tablet application that provides a similar unified guide for on-the-go viewing.

Both combine content from BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, My5, and other UK catch-up services into a single browsable interface.
