Data Usage & WiFi Tips
Streaming live TV on your phone uses approximately 1 GB per hour in standard definition and 2 to 3 GB per hour in HD. If you are on a limited mobile data plan, connect to WiFi whenever possible. Most streaming apps let you set a data quality limit in their settings — reducing quality to SD when on mobile data saves significant bandwidth.
For offline viewing (watching without any internet connection), BBC iPlayer and ITVX Premium allow you to download programmes to your phone for later viewing.
